Run the idea by friends and family. Do they like it? Would they use it? Pay for it?

@HS Yes, yes, and yes… some even want to invest. Working through business plan, too. hmmm… other things to do?

Depends on what kind of business idea it is. I’m familiar with software, in which case the next major step is building a prototype.

Is there a market outside your friends and family? Does the product alleviate “pain”? Are there competitive products? Is there intellectual property to gain or infringe? So many more questions . . .
