Day 35 Question…?

Since we’re skipping weekends now, should we call Friday’s question “Day 34″ and Monday’s “Day 35?” Or, should we call Friday “Day 34″ and Monday “Day 37″?

By the way, this is not really today’s question… I’ll post the “real question” later. ;) But I am curious what you think we should do about this little dilemma.

I vote that we stop numbering the questions at all, for these reasons:

    1. We’re past 30 days anyway.
    2. The numbers don’t mean anything.
    3. The Friday-Monday confusion…
    4. We’re wasting space with something kind of boring (”Day 3,567 Question” that could be used to write awesome headlines (”Truth or dare– have you ever…”) that could maybe grab readers’ attention more quickly.

But, it’s also fun keeping track of how long the questions are continuing. So it’s a tossup.

FYI, someone mentioned running Human Census for one year, like the illustrious Ze Frank Show. I agree– and we’ll end Human Census on June 24, 2008.

If I live that long. ;)

    So, your thoughts?

Why not use dates instead of numbers? I think having some unique point of reference will be handy, considering the weekends and that questions will be left open longer. Plus, future questions, discussions, etc. might refer back to the question from a certain date.

What if you switch from “day #” to “question #” and only use the number in the report? Gets rid of boring in the question, keeps data in the reporting, etc.

I think Ze used dates. Cant’ recall….March was so long ago.

    Dates would work.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions, you guys! I’m going to go with using question numbers, mostly because I’m lazy… ;)

“#35″ requires less effort than January 4, 2008 or even 1/4/08…

I like the ideas of question #s too, the dates can be seen in the permalink structure and on the post.
