I have two favorites, both by the same composer–

Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending” and “Six Studies In English Folk Song, for cello & piano, I. Adagio, Lovely On The Water”.

    (Geez, that’s a long title!)

Here are links to hear them both…

cliché, but still beautiful: canon in d major, prayer of the children, bagatelle in a minor

I think Tool has done some fabulous work. I’m a big fan of their 10,000 Days album.

For beautiful music I usually go somewhere with birds and not much human-made traffic.

I recently saw/heard a video of Andy McKee, a awesome guitarist. I liked it so much I bought his CD. Very talented and relaxing!

But the most beautiful music is sitting quietly in the forest closing your eyes and listening to your surroundings.

Adagio for Strings. But, one has to be in the right mood for it to be beautiful, and perhaps it isn’t good to be in that mood too often.

Rhapsody in Blue is always fun.
